ETC Awards

ETC Awards Ltd (ETCAL) is an Awarding Body for engineering NVQs, Key Skills and the Assessor and Verifier awards in Northern Ireland.  As such, ETC Awards engage with engineering companies, colleges and private training companies, providing a targeted and cost effective service for the award of competence based vocational qualifications exclusively to the engineering sector in Northern Ireland.

The role of the Awarding Body:

• Approve Centres to deliver NVQ, Key Skills and the Assessor and Verifier qualifications
• Ensure the quality and consistency of assessment for nationally recognised qualifications
• Provide and produce guidance for Centres
• Provide and appoint External Verifiers to approved Centres
• Provide training support to Assessors and Internal Verifiers within approved Centres
• Ensure information from Centres impacts upon National decisions regarding qualification delivery
• Provide information to the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual)
