What entry requirements do I need?

Aged between 16 and 24
Have at least 4 GCSEs at grade 'D'. Maths and Science related subjects are essential.

Do I get paid?

Yes!! You get a wage from day one of the apprenticeship. Rates of pay very much depend on the company you will be working for. However companies currently on the programme have a starting wage of anything between £85 and £220 per week. This increases substantially each year of the apprenticeship.

What qualifications will I get at the end of my apprenticeship?

The apprenticeship gives you training and experience while you work. You will be required to attend college one day a week and achieve a range of nationally recognised qualifications:

NVQ Level 2 or 3
Keyskills Level 2 or 3
Appropriate BTEC/City & Guilds certificate
Modern Apprenticeship certificate

How long does it last?

Approximately 3-4 years depending on how quickly you complete the apprenticeship

Do I get Holidays?

Yes!! You are an employee of the company and therefore are entitled to the holidays offered to every other employee of that company.

What happens when my Apprenticeship finishes?
There is a good chance you will remain in employment with your apprenticeship company, however this can not be guaranteed. You will have achieved a nationally recognised qualification and 3 or 4 years experience, which will be an advantage if it is necessary to find another job.
