Awarding Body Introduction

ETC is an Awarding Body for engineering NVQs in Northern Ireland. We are involved with engineering companies, training centres, colleges and other recognised training organisations.

Most of our work is supporting those organisations that are pursuing NVQs in engineering.

The role of the Awarding body:

Approve prospective centres to deliver NVQ and Keyskills qualifications
Ensure the quality and consistency of assessment for qualifications nationally
Product guidance for centres
Appoint, support and deliver External Verifiers, allocate them to centres and monitor their work
Ensures information from centres impact upon National decisions regarding qualification       delivery
Provide information to QCA (Qualifications Curriculum Authority)
