Engineering Training Council has two subsidiary companies:

Engineering Training Services: responsible for the development and implementation of engineering apprenticeships. The employer-led Modern Apprenticeship Programme has been successfully running for a number of years and the role of ETS involves the promotion, recruitment and continuous support to companies and apprentices.

ETC Awards Ltd: developed to perform the Awarding body function. ETCAL was appointed to determine occupational standards and approved by the accrediting bodies to certificate Vocational qualifications for engineering occupations in Northern Ireland.
